Olsen Verlag is a lightweight music publishing and promotion company based in Cambridgeshire, UK.

We make no distinction between ‘art’ music and ‘educational’ music. We believe that new classical music of the highest quality can be performed and enjoyed by children and young people as much as adults, by community musicians as much as international professionals, by anyone with an open mind as much as seasoned experts. We are a social enterprise, and reinvest all our profits in our business in order to bring new music to ever wider audiences.

Our growing catalogue, comprising works by our house composer and founder, James Olsen, together with unfamiliar music by more familiar composers including Edward Elgar and Gustav Mahler, reflects these beliefs.

We combine traditional print publishing with in-house video production, fundraising, digital communications and project management to offer unique artistic and promotional possibilities to the individuals and organisations we work with. Since our formation, we have helped arts organisations raise substantial funds to cover commissioning new works and mounting their first performances.

We believe in new music for everyone.
