Projects

We work with various organisations to mount projects involving the commissioning of new work by our founder and house composer, James Olsen. These projects often have an educational or community element, and engage participants not only through music, but also topics in history, literature and the natural world.

Commissioning organisations include the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Ely Cathedral, the German School London and the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since our formation in 2017, hundreds of children and adult community musicians have participated in our projects, with many more following them online through the videos we have produced documenting our work on James’s YouTube channel.

Because we realise that organisations may be unfamiliar with the process of commissioning new music, we offer a ‘one-stop shop’ by combining fundraising, digital communications and project management for organisations interested in working with us. To date, we have helped organisations secure over £70,000 in funding for our projects.
